Next Thursday (October 8) I will be in conversation with artist Derek Boshier at Flowers Gallery in Cork Street in London’s Mayfair.

This marks the publication of Rethink/Re-entry, the Boshier monograph I have edited, as well as the exhibition of the same name I am curating at Flowers with the writer/curator Guy Brett.

Since Derek lives in Los Angeles, this presents a rare opportunity for attendees to meet him in person and hear about the practice which has taken in Pop Art in the 60s, social and political critiques and engagement with the likes of David Bowie and The Clash in the 70s,  a distinctive body of painting work in Texas in the 80s and, since the 90s in California, the establishment of a unique voice which has journeyed through a number of different phases, from films to photography and print and book making.
