I love my calico Fennica 48 drinking jacket right down to it’s beer barrel buttons.
It is one of the line produced last year by Japanese clothing brand Beams and is based on an original Princeton “beer jacket” sourced by Beams buyer Terry Ellis, who has sent me this selection of photos of suitably attired 48ers taken over the last year for his mandatory Instagram feed.
This spring Beams produced the follow-up, based on a 1941 jacket and seen below sported by Ellis and others:
