It’s a date: In conversation with Boy George at the V&A on April 9
On April 9 George O’Dowd and I will be in conversation at the V&A; the subject is David Bowie’s visual style.
The event is one of a series being held to coincide with the museum’s hotly-anticipated retrospective David Bowie Is.
We’ll look at Bowie’s evolving engagement with fashion and style over the years, his impact on generations of pop fans and how he helped shape George’s own visual expression. We’ll also talk through some of Bowie’s key looks and his collaborations with such designers as the late Freddie Buretti and Kansai Yamamoto.
Our chat takes place at the V&A’s Lydia & Manfred Gorvy Lecture Theatre, starting at 6.30pm. Details here.
