M. Goldstein shines at the fair
Nathaniel Lee Jones and Pippa Brooks have created a world of wonder with their M. Goldstein stand at the Battersea Decorative Fair.
The carefully curated presentation has giant display boots from 1906, Victorian automata and chairs from wartime light aircraft vying for attention with a selection of pieces – including a Constructivist banner – from the archive of the hitherto neglected British artist Reginald Alan Westaway.
While we were there, visitors declaring Goldstein’s the best thing about the fair included Rodney Bewes (of Likely Lads fame), TV’s Davina McCall and old friend Jon Hale, whose Emporium in Greenwich is London’s – hell, Britain’s – greatest vintage clothing store.
If you have an opportunity, treat yourself to a visit; Nat + Pippa are there until Sunday. Opening times here.
And make sure you drop by the Goldstein shop soon.
