A Box Of Bubbles: Limited edition up for grabs now
A Box Of Bubbles is the special edition of the forthcoming book The Wild World of Barney Bubbles.
Limited to 500 copies, this is presented in a clothbound pink solander box featuring a screen-printed design taken from Bubbles’ artwork for Ian Dury & The Blockheads’ hit single Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick/There Ain’t Half Been Some Clever Bastards. The outer box design continues into the interior and the book itself, bound in a contrasting white cloth.
Included in the box is a selection of exclusive reproductions of Barney Bubbles ephemera:
• Dome Sweet Dome build-yourself scaled geodesic dome, as featured in Bubbles triple-LP package for the 1972 Glastonbury Fayre album Revelations: The Electric Score
• Make-your-own pyramid printed on reflective foil stock as also included with Glastonbury Fayre
• Screen-printed cotton handkerchief bearing Bubbles’ matchstick portrait of Ian Dury originally made available as a promotional item on his 1978 Hankie Pantie UK tour
• High-gloss three-colour sticker produced for Dury & The Blockheads’ 1979 album Do It Yourself
• Stunning 21-piece reproduction of Bubbles’ Galactic Tarot set as featured in a double page spread advertisement for Hawkwind’s album X In Search Of Space in a 1971 issue of underground magazine IT.
I’ll be individually numbering and signing each edition of A Box of Bubbles.
