New map in the New Year – Punk London: In The City 1975-78
I am collaborating with Herb Lester Associates on a new map – Punk London: In The City 1975-78 will be published in the New Year as a celebration of the movement which swept the capital 40 years ago and resonates today as an attitude throughout the world.
From Soho to the suburbs we are marking the key sites as well as the infamous and downright obscure addresses across 100-plus entries, incorporating all manner of unusual and unexpected places and spaces, from squats, schools, derelict warehouses and long-gone venues to boutiques, studios, market stalls and hitherto unacknowledged premises.
Designed by Mike Haddad, whose work has appeared in Fortune, Monocle and Wired, Punk London is shaping up to be among the most visually striking and informative publishing events of the forthcoming Punk anniversary celebrations.
Keep your eyes on this blog and Herb Lester for more news on the map’s forthcoming publication.
